The groundbreaking ceremony of major railway projects in Hubei took place on December 15. The commencement of projects such as the Hubei section of Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway, Wuhan Jingkai Special Railway Line for Grain Transport and Songzi Cheyanghe Port Area Special Railway Line marks the full advancement of the new-round massive high-speed railway construction in Hubei.

Jingzhou set a sub-venue on the construction site of Songzi Cheyanghe Port Area Special Railway Line. Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, reported the construction progress of Songzi Cheyanghe Port Area Special Railway Line to the main venue and arranged the next-step work.

Songzi Cheyanghe Port Area Special Railway Line is a key railway project of Hubei in the "fourteenth five-year" period, as well as a key infrastructure interconnection project in Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi City Cluster, Zhou said. The project will effectively improve the transportation and logistics function of Cheyanghe Port Area, form the advantage of rail-water-highway combined transport, support Jingzhou in building a regional center city, and promote the accelerated development of Yichang, Jingzhou, Jingmen and Enshi.

At the next stage, we will earnestly study and implement the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, implement the requirements of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the Hubei Provincial People's Government at the groundbreaking mobilization conference today, and go all out for a victory in the final battle, to ensure a complete success throughout the year, Zhou said. We should work hard, systematically study and plan project construction for the next year, to ensure that Cheyanghe Port Area Special Railway Line and other infrastructural projects are completed and put into operation as early as possible.
